Some questions that might help your customer narrow down what appeals to them for flooring include: Do they like clear or character grade? What width(s) are preferred? 3", 4", 5" or wider? What is their price range?   Please note that pricing is the last question to be asked. The reason why is that many people feel their decision may be dependent on their square footage price, but the real issue is whether they are willing to live with anything less than their first choice for the rest of their life in the home. Something else to consider:   Will there be a staircase included in the flooring project? We suggest doing the stairs in the same species of wood, and every species is different, so it is advisable for you and your customer to research the wide range of species and pricing that are available to the customer.
